Symbolism
Buff and scarlet are colors traditionally associated with support organizations.  Gold denotes excellence.  The globe highlights the unit's worldwide support mission.  The hexagon and the six taro leaves refer to the six major functions of the organization:  manning, arming, fueling, maintaining, transporting, and protecting.  The sword represents the defense of liberty as well as total military preparedness.  The taro leaves refer to the unit's affiliations and associations.
